HISTORY

In line with the University's objective to provide higher professional, technical, and special instruction from special purposes, and promote research and extension services, advanced studies and progressive leadership in commerce, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Major in Management was offered under the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy for the school year 2006-2007, with high-standard curriculum and competent professional faculties under the leadership of Mr. Reynaldo S. Naguit, as Dean.

2006 - 2007: The first batch of BSBA Major in Management was composed of two (2) sections comprising 68 students. Management students' organization was then established and was named as CYBL or Chamber of Young Business Leaders.

2007 - 2008: The second batch of first year BSBA Major in Management was doubled from last year with four (4) sections comprising 174 students. The total student population then was 242.

2008 - 2009: With the effective marketing, and committed professional faculties, more students with interest in Business and Management chose BSU. As such, the third batch of BSBA Major in Management was composed of five (5) sections comprising 225 students. BSBA Major in Entrepreneurship was offered with 2 sections comprising 59 enrollees. Now, total population has soared to 526 students.

2009 - 2010: Accepted incoming first year students major in Management with (7) sections and two (2) sections for Major in Entrepreneurship. 1st Trade Fair Competition was launched in December 2009 for Management and Entrepreneurship students to apply the business theories they have learned in classroom discussion. Society of Young Entrepreneurs (SYE) was established. First batch of BSBA Major in Management graduated with 64 students.

2010 - 2011: Business Center was opened. On January 20, 2011 the College of Business Administration was established with Mrs. Helen A. Baesa, as the acting Dean, and Mr. Gualberto A. Magdaraog Jr., as the acting Assistant Dean. The Department of Management (Area Chair Mr. Christopher D. Lalic), Department of Entrepreneurship (Area Chair Mr. Oliver R Mandap) and Department of Accountancy (Area Chair Mr. Greg O. Saclot) were also created. Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) was launched in March 2011. Processed 800 applications for accountancy.
