BulSU in the Fight Against VAW

“We should realize that there is a need to change our social norms and mindsets through education and practice in our workplaces and community.” These words echoed in the walls of the Valencia Hall in Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon’s inspirational message during the Bulacan State University Convocation for the month of December which coincided with the annual 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women on December 3, 2018. Stressing the importance of education, the University President urged the entire BulSU community to take part in creating an atmosphere that empowers people and promotes equality among the faculty, staff, and students. Among the guests of the event were Senator Cynthia A. Villar, who moved the audience with the true story of her grandmother’s success, and Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado.
