BulSU recognizes Faculty, celebrations Faculty Appreciation Day 2022

The event was opened with a salvo of performances and presentations from the student body dedicated to their teachers, mentors, and second parents inside the University.

Hon. Gerald Cloyd D. Galang, one of the City Counselors of Valenzuela, represented the invited Guest of Honor, Republic of the Philippines Senator Sherwin T. Gatchalian. In Senator Gatchalian’s message, as delivered by Councilor Galang, he described how BulSU's tenacity and commitment astounded him and expressed that he is not surprised that BulSU got an award from the Commission on Higher Education at the most recent Gawad Parangal 2022 (CHED). He said that this accolade was made possible by the BulSUan teachers’ dedication to producing graduates of the highest caliber.

University President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon also did not miss the chance to thank the faculty, with a special song number followed by a heartfelt message. The president narrated how she was inspired by her students during her first year of teaching, and this made her stay in the academe. She mentioned how teachers are part of not just molding their students but their future. That is why she thank everyone who is still part of the university and that this event is only a little token for the contribution of the faculty members.

Also present in the occasion was the Executive Vice President Dr. Teody C. San Andres, whose office spearheaded the event, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Edgardo M. Santos, Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Jaime P. Pulumbarit, Vice President for Research, Development and Extension, Engr. Erwin DR. Magsakay, Chancellor for the Main Campus, Dr. Romero DC. Inasoria, and Chancellor for the External Campuses, Dr. Reynaldo S. Naguit.

After the program, games and raffles were conducted to provide entertainment and exciting prizes for the faculty members of BulSU.

To close out the day, the stars of the occasion retreated to an outdoor social dinner held at the Heroes Park where they were serenated by the BulSU Live Band while enjoying good food and each other’s company.
