“ISO 9001:2015 is by far the world’s most established quality framework, currently being used by over 1.5 million organizations in 191 countries. It is a worldwide standard for quality that places our University to very select group,” stated by the University President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon in her message during the opening program.

It was in 2017 when BulSU submitted itself for ISO 9001:2015 which paved the way to the review of the organization, the systems, processes, and procedures was initiated to be done to ensure the efficiency of the services of the University. For the past years, results of the previous audits had proven the outstanding capabilities of the University, and this year the goal is to guarantee that BulSU quality services remain at its best.

Dr. Gascon in her speech asserted that, “All these endeavors and efforts are all intended to develop among us greater sense of accountability and challenge us to move from better to best condition. ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System provides our Institution with several benefits. Now, more than ever, we must come to understand that quality is not necessarily a state, but more of a process. We must embrace the concept of quality through continual improvement.”

Moreover, the presentation of the results of the audit clinched that BulSU is continuously ensuring that the Institution delivers its consistent level of quality to its constituents. By becoming ISO 9001:2015 certified, the University is better able to meet the customer requirements and earn credibility and trust especially among foreign institutions who usually look for such accreditation.

Ending the speech, Dr. Gascon reminded everyone the importance of being ISO Certified, “Having the right objectives and procedures, management and employees would be able to focus more on what is really important. Ultimately, Quality management System can empower employees and develop a professional culture by providing clear expectations, the tools to do their job, and prompt, actionable feedback on their performances.”
