She Who Inspires: BulSU’s First Art Painting Competition Takes Off

With the theme "She Who Inspires – Redefining Women’s Leadership", the competition was joined on in by twenty-two BulSUan artists from the different colleges and campuses.

The University President, Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony during the opening of the exhibit. She was joined by the Executive Director for External Relations and Internationalization, Dr. Mary Ann P. Carranza, Deputy Director for External Linkages, Dr. Remigio R. Musca, Deputy Director for Media Relations, Dr. Dr. Tricia P. Ompoc, Deputy Director for Internationalization, Dr. Charlyn V. Rosales, Head for Alumni Relations, Prof. Teresita F. Reyes, Head for Community Affairs, Dr. Victoria Valenzuela, Head for Print Media, Ms. Dyan Crespo, and Head for TV and Social Media and host of the event, Mr. Mark Mirabuenos.

Having the theme revolve around women leaders, majority of the artworks were inspired by no other than the University President herself, Dr. Gascon.

"I am so overwhelmed", the President expressed as she laid her eyes on the different portraits bearing her image.

The winners of the competition will be announced on Friday, May 26, 2023, while the awarding ceremony will be on Monday, May 29, 2023.

The paintings will remain on display until May 31, 2023.
