BulSU-ITSO Receives 2nd Bronze Award from IPO-PHL

The award was given during the live 2023 ITSO Presidents' Summit held on March 28, 2023, at the Sequoia Hotel Manila Bay, Aseana Business Park, Parañaque City. The event was attended by Engr. Mervin E. Albalate, Head of the BulSU-ITSO and University Intellectual Property Office (IPO), and Ms. Debbie Ann S. Tuazon, Director of the Research Management Office (RMO), as representatives for our University President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon.

BulSU-ITSO was recognized as it has complied with the required Intellectual Property (IP) filings and patent searches for the said award and the presence of a three-unit IP Rights subject in the College of Industrial Technology (CIT), headed by Dean Dr. Warlito M. Galita. The ITSO network has 77 members consisting of universities, colleges, and research institutions nationwide; it is the franchise of the IPO-PHL. ITSO's are tasked primarily with providing IP rights protection to the university's research outputs and assisting in commercialization.

BulSU-ITSO had previously received the same recognition in the previous year's online ITSO Cluster Awards. BulSU-ITSO thanks the IPO-PHL for this recognition and happily shares this award with the BulSU community as this is a result of the IP filings from different colleges and units of our university.
