The first half of the day began with a program which was formally opened by the Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Jaime P. Pulumbarit. The celebration was also made extra special by the presence of the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines, Hon. Maria Leonor Gerona Robredo, who, in her speech, reminded everyone that the way through a crisis is being together and assured the university that the Office of the Vice President will support BulSU in its future endeavors.

This message was answered by the ever supportive University President herself, Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon, who shared in her message the importance of gratitude, how it connects people, and its vitality in one's success. The University President also commended the BulSU Community for its perseverance and resiliency in the time of pandemic.

The Executive Vice President Dr. Teody San Andres, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Edgardo M. Santos, and Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension Engr. Erwin DR. Magsakay also delivered messages of salutations, gratitude and hope towards the BulSU Community.

Present to bring spiritual guidance was Pastor Eric Fernandez of the Victory Church Malolos, and to close the program was the Student Regent Drew Allyson G. Madrigal, who expressed thanks to the University on behalf of the student body.

To match the events in the morning, and live up to the words of the University President, the University expressed its gratitude towards its employees who dedicated decades of their lives in service to the Institution thru a virtual Loyalty Awards Ceremony, which was streamed live on the Universiy Facebook Page.

The University recognized those who continue to serve, wished well those who retired, and fondly remembered those who passed away, for their significant contributions, and irreplacable marks left on the face of BulSU.
