BulSU Commences the LED4LGUs Project

Two weeks after the MOA signing of Bulacan State University (BulSU) with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Local Economic Development for Local Government Units (LED4LGU's) program was launched last December 14, 2021, Tuesday, via Zoom and was participated by 72 Local Government Units (LGUS) in Region III.

The Assistant Regional Director of DILG Region III, ARD Jay E. Timbreza, CESO V, emphasized the importance of the collaborative partnership with BulSU while LGOO VII Ener P. Cambronero, CESE, Chief, LG Capability Development Division said that the expertise of the faculty members of BulSU who will serve as trainers will definitely augment the undertakings of DILG in terms of progressing the different LGU's in Region III. The long-term vision of the program is to create business-friendly, competitive, inclusive, and resilient local economies. The event was also graced by the University President, Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon, who mentioned in her message of support that collaboration is essential to exist between the government agencies and educational institutions to support continuous learning to every member of the society and promote overall sustainable government to the community.

Meanwhile, the presentation of LED4LGU's flow of activities and list of trainers were presented by the Executive Director of the External Relations and Internationalization, Dr. Mary Ann P. Carranza. She comprehensibly discussed the details of timeline of activities, BulSU faculty trainers, and the awards and merits that the LGU's will receive after the completion of requirements.

Engr. Ivy Mar Jay Ramos, Executive Director for Strategic Management and Development, in his closing remarks thanked the established partnership with DILG which will contribute to the development local and even regional economies.
