Faculty Webinar Version 3.0: BulSU's non-stop effort to empower its Faculty

Steady in its tracks to keep gearing and equipping its Faculty for advanced digital teaching, the Bulacan State University (BulSU) Administration, through the efforts of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), launched the third iteration of its Faculty Webinar Series, on March 9, 2021.

To help welcome the participants, the Executive Vice President (EVP) Dr. Teody C. San Andres delivered his opening remarks while VPAA Dr. Edgardo M. Santos stated the reasons and goals behind said endeavor, and ever present to show her support, the University President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon also shared words of inspiration for all the participants of the webinars.

With the theme “Orienting the BulSU Faculty on the Advanced Educational Platform for Digital Learning”, the webinar features the topics “ODILO: Demonstrating the Digital Content Revolution” expounded on by Mr. Mark Vincent Caminoy, Online Product Development Manager of Goldenrey Direct Marketing, and “Plagiarism Scanning and Grammar Checking: How to Get Grips with Omnipresent Threats to Education System with Software” elaborated on by Mr. Jerwin Olid, Product Officer of CE-Logic, for its morning session.

Meanwhile, for the afternoon session, Dr. Melinda DP. Bandalaria, Chancellor and Professor of the University of the Philippines Open University, and President of the Asian Association of Open Universities, returned as one of the resource speakers to share her knowledge on the topic “For learning continuity: Finding the Possibility of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)”.

After each session, an open forum was held so that the Faculty may clarify their concerns with the resource speakers, and also to give the speakers a chance to clear out any points they might have missed.
