CHED, BulSU, PGB unveil SHINE Bulacan

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), in partnership with Bulacan State University (BulSU), and the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB), set in motion its Edu-Tourism Program and SHINE Bulacan (Sustainable Heritage Imbibing Nationalism through Edu-tourism) at the BulSU Valencia Hall, January 21, 2021.

Practicing minimum safety standards, the attendees of the event was limited only to the BulSU President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon, BulSU Executive Committee, CHED Chairman Dr. J. Prospero de Vera III, CHED Deputy Executive Director and International Affairs Staff (IAS)Director Atty. Lily Freida Milla, CHED Regional Office OIC Director Dr. Maria Teresita M. Semana, Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando, ably represented by the Provincial Administrator Ms. Antonette V. Constantino, Provincial History, Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office (PHACTO) Chief Dr. Eliseo S. Dela Cruz, and other Officials and Staff of CHED, BulSU, and PGB responsible for the realization of SHINE Bulacan.

Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Ms. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat also sent her regards thru a video message delivered by DOT Assistant Secretary Verna Esmeralda C. Buensuceso while other international and local partners of BulSU also sent their wishes of success through video greetings.

SHINE Bulacan is a program aiming to increase the awareness and appreciation of local history and culture of the modern youth through education and promotion of sustainable heritage.

The program also encourages other State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Government Units (LGUs) of Bulacan to take part in the development and implementation various of Edu-tourism projects.
