CHED Chair tours around BulSU

Upon his arrival at the evening of January 12, 2021, the CHED Chair was welcomed by the University President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon and other members of the Executive Committee. Dr. de Vera III then spent the night at the BulSU Hostel where he was very well-accommodated by the staff.

With President Gascon leading the way, the tour began the following day, January 13, 2021, wherein Chairman de Vera visited the College of Industrial Technology (CIT), College of Engineering (COE), BulSU Food Innovation Center (FIC) and the Center for Bulacan Studies (CBS).

The Deans and Faculty of CIT and COE, and staff FIC of CBS were present to showcase and give the CHED Chairman an overview of their respective programs and projects.

Particularly impressed with what the University exhibited and with the leadership of President Gascon, Chairman de Vera III pledged that the Commission will donate another unit of one of the University’s multimillion-peso equipment to CIT, and to fund the Learning Materials Development for the Virtual Laboratory of COE.

This purposeful visit of the CHED Chairman to BulSU is in conjunction with the preparation for SHINE Bulacan (Sustainable Heritage Imbibing Nationalism Through Edu-Tourism), an initiative of CHED, joined by BulSU and PGB.

Chairman de Vera III is set to return to BulSU for the launching event of said project on January 21, 2021.
