BulSU celebrates Science and Technology Week 2019

Held last September 23-27, 2019, Bulacan State University (BulSU) celebrated the 2019 Science and Technology Week. This year’s celebration was hosted by the College of Industrial Technology (CIT) headed by its Dean Dr. Keno Piad.

Science and Technology the Opening Program at Day 1

Joined by the students from four colleges, a parade served as the cue of the week-long fire burning celebration. They were gathered at the University Activity Center and marched to the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium where the opening program was held.

Representing the four elements of water, wind, fire and earth, the College of Industrial Technology (CIT), College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT), College of Science (CS), College of Engineering (COE) had the Presentation of Elemental Flags together with the SciTech College Brand Ambassadors that was followed by the Techno Mascot and Minions Showdown.

Innovation Exhibition 2019 Ribbon Cutting and BulSU MOA Signing for Partnerships was also held at the Valencia Hall in the afternoon.

Innovation Exhibition 2019 Competition was held at the Valencia Hall. The University President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon in her speech stated that for those who are currently taking their thesis writing class, if their project is found to be beneficial to the University, she is willing to allot funds for that thesis project that the students will propose.

Meanwhile, Malolos City Mayor Hon. Gilbert 'Bebong' Gatchalian, also promised the same for the thesis proposals which will be beneficial for the development of the City of Malolos.

Enriching Science and Technology during the September’s Convocation at Day 3

With the theme “Green Technology for Sustainable Development”, this month’s Convocation was held last September 25, 2019. Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Regional Director Mr. Nenuca E. Tangonan was the Keynote Speaker of the said event.

While in the afternoon, the Regional Seminar on Emerging was held attended by the representatives from the different state universities. The Keynote Speaker Ms. Lora Yusi, OIC Director of CHEDRO III, challenged everyone to follow the footsteps started by the Bulacan State University in terms of Keep a tumbler and Lunchbox to have a greener and plastic free University Canteens. Dir. Yusi stated that she will be visiting those Universities present to check if they will also implement the policy.
