Convocation

Armed with the vision to provide the community with professionally competent and morally upright graduates, the CHTM Administration discussed the importance of tourism as the heart of the Philippine economy and how an academic institution like BulSU prepares students who will be involved the industry with their theme entitled “Gearing towards Hospitality and Tourism Engagement and Excellence”.

The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Arlene Alipio representing Hon. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat of the Department of Tourism, the BulSU Executive Committee under the leadership of University President Dr. Cecilia Navasero-Gascon, the Deans from different colleges, and CHTM students. During her inspirational message, the University President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon stressed that as the industry grows, the need for people who are inspired, dedicated, and well trained to work in the field of hospitality and tourism also increases. She challenged the CHTM students to make full use of the opportunity given to them by RA 10931, making education their passport to the professional world.

The event ended on a high note with a lively community dance number led by the CHTM faculty and Dean Gloria Lulu.
