This year, the MMFF launched a nationwide school-based Short Film Competition in order to provide a platform to all aspiring youth to harness their creativity and expose their fresh talents in storytelling through film making. The competition attracted a total of 123 entries across the nation with only eight of them getting selected as finalists. BulSU Cinephilia’s entry “Kasilyas” was shown in cinemas together with other short film entries and the full-length official entries during the festival period from December 25, 2018 up to January 7, 2019.
The organization has been reaping accolades for the University in recent years which include becoming a finalist in the 2017 ABS-CBN Star Music Himig Handog Music Video Competition and the 2015 Cinemalaya Film Festival with their entry “Mater”.
Congratulations BC! Your BulSU family is very proud of you! Sulong KAL!
