October Convocation: Promoting Social Justice, Wellness, and Rural Development Through Education

The event, which was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Executive Operations, was held on October 29, 2018 at the BulSU Valencia Hall at exactly 9:00 in the morning. In her speech, Guest Speaker Senator Nancy Binay implored the BulSU students not to waste the opportunity given to them by RA10931 or the Free Higher Education Act, by making the most out of themselves in order to help alleviate poverty. On the other hand, the University President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon challenged the entire administration, faculty members, and non-academic personnel to exemplify the University’s five institutional goals so as to set a good example to the youth that the institution is catering to. Also present during the event were the entire BulSU Executive Committee, Administrative Council, Academic Council, Non-Academic Personnel, Faculty, and students from across all colleges.
