Additional Accolades for CAL

CAL Alumni Ar-Jen Manlapig, Emmanuel Clavio, Fiona Mae Abainza, Shaira San Luis, and Deniel Angelou Echevarria took the world of short films by storm. Their film Ang Unang Araw ng Pasukan bagged the Best Screenplay, Best Direction, and Overall Best Film Awards on the Short+Sweet Manila Film Festival Gala Finals last September 26, 2018. Quite recently, the film won 3rd place against other award winning short films from across the globe in the Short+Sweet Hollywood at the Marilyn Monroe Theater in Los Angeles, California on October 13, 2018. It has also won Best Picture at the first Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino - Sine Kabataan Short Film Competition in 2017.
