A Taste of a Different Season: 2017 Confucius Institute Cultural performance Tour

The students, guests, and the administration of Bulacan State University were treated to a preview of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival through the efforts of The Confucius Institute.

Xiamen University’s Vice Chairman of the University Council Mr. Lai Hongkai along with performers from the Xiamen University Art Troupe arrived on October 3, 2017 to promote appreciation for Chinese arts and culture as well as strengthen the camaraderie between the two institutions. The event was filled with spectacular dance numbers and awe-inspiring vocal and instrumental performances that emphasizes the beauty of Chinese arts.

The day also marked the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between BulSU, the Confucius Institute, and Lyceum of the Philippines Batangas for the Chinese language teaching program that would involve the new volunteer teachers from Xiamen University.
