Manny V. Pangilinan, Chairman of the Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC) and Malolos City Mayor Hon. Christian D. Natividad signed a partnership between the City Government of Malolos and PayMaya Philippines. The event was held at 8:30 in the morning at the Malolos Convention Center on September 8, 2017.

PayMaya, the country’s leading digital financial services provider, is in support of the country’s digital transformation with the goal of enabling the creation of a cashless ecosystem in cities and other local government units. This partnership would help the financially underserved to pay online without a credit card.

The University President Dr. Cecilia N. Gascon and Vice President for Research, Extension and Training Dr. Cecilia A. Geronimo attended the opening program to bear witness to this historic event. Among the other witnesses were Vice Mayor Gilbert Gatchalian and other key officials of the Local Government. According to Dr. Gascon, this partnership would be of great assistance to the students of BulSU when it comes to other transactions or payments to be made in the University.
