”Paano nga ba dapat paghandaan ang pagtatrabaho? Handa na ba kayong harapin ang buhay-propesyunal?” (How do you prepare for employment? Are you ready to face professional life?). This was the main challenge posed by Dr. Cecilia N. Gascon, University President, to the students during her closing speech at the Students' Life After the University Symposium on July 19, 2017 held at the covered court of Bulacan State University - Sarmiento Campus.

President Gascon focused on four points to help the students cope with their forthcoming entry into the professional world: First is strong faith in the Lord and in one's self, then comes critical thinking before choosing a career path, followed by love for one's work, and finally the initiative to give back to the country. This message was warmly received with a rousing ovation from all the young hopefuls that were inspired to become the best that they could be.

On the same occasion, Hon. Florida ”Ate Rida” P. Robes, Congressional Representative of the Lone District of San Jose del Monte, highlighted on her speech the goodness of unconditionally helping others, and the love and gratitude towards one's parents. ”Never be ashamed to tell your parents that you love them.” Expressing this her experience with tears welling up in her eyes recounting stories about her beloved mother. Her heartfelt message resonated throughout the entire court.

Vice President for Executive Operations, Dr. Teody C. San Andres thanked the entire Sarmiento Campus Administration led by Dr. Pedro Abanador and Miss Lorelei D. Consuelo for organizing an event geared towards the development of their students. He also thanked Mr. Victor P. Sajorda, political adviser of Congresswoman Robes, who jumpstarted the event with a light and upbeat dialogue with the young audiences which set the mood for the event.
