BulSU donned its "banner year" after John Roniel A. Canimo, a Batch 2016 graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication Major in Journalism, made it to the elite circle of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP-Regional Level), held last May 30 at the Officers' Club, Clark Freeport Zone, Angeles Pampanga.

The TOSP is an awards program that recognizes the country's best students at the Malacañan Palace by the President of the Republic. The Program seeks graduating college students who excel academically and dedicate themselves as exceptional leaders and community servants. Thus making a difference in their respective circles.

"Being an outstanding student of this country requires passion and dedication to serve." Shared Canimo.

His achievement as a top 10 finisher of Region 3's TOSP qualifies him for the National Search Pool.

Canimo, who's a former Features Editor of Pacesetter, the Official Student Publication of Bulacan State University, is also an awardee of BulSU's Outstanding University Journalist of the Year.
