”The knowledge that the students gain would be something that members of the community and the industry could benefit from.” These are the words of Dir. Eleazar, Director of Bureau of Agricultural Research of the Department of Agriculture.

Graduates with Bachelor’s Degree from the main campus and satellite campuses attended the ceremony.

Commencement for the Graduate School was also part of the celebration with 23 graduates.

Candidates from satellite campuses were composed of four graduates from Meneses Campus, 16 from Sarmiento Campus and 32 from Bustos Campus.

The main campus had nine candidates from College of Physical Education, Recreation and Sports (COPERS), five from College of Business Administration (CBA), five from College of Arts and Letters (CAL), seven from College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), two from College of Nursing (CON), 50 from College of Information and Communications Technology(CICT), 29 from College of Industrial Technology (CIT), five from the College of Home Economics (CHE), and two from the College of Science (CS), 31 from the College of Education (COED), 24 from the College of Engineering (COE) and five from the College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA).

Nicomedes P. Eleazar, CESO IV, Director of the Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) served as this year’s October Graduates’ Commencement Speaker.

”Let your profession be an instrument in improving not only your life but to others as well,” encouraged Dir. Eleazer.

Dir. Eleazer challenged each of the graduates to be of service for others by utilizing the skills and knowledge they have garnered in the years they have spent in the academe.

”I know these ideals, serving others and serving the country may come as an overwhelming concept,” he stated.

He also commended the efforts of the administration of Bulacan State University in producing graduates who are not just technologically equipped but graduates who are competent, accountable and competitive.

”What really caught my eye is your vision in inculcating to your students that while it is important to be technically competent, they should also have a sense of responsibility to be of service to others,” Dir. Eleazar mentioned.

Stressing the importance of accomplishing a task that will not only benefit oneself is becoming a real struggle at this very point of time. Dir. Eleazar reminded each graduate to commit on actions which will become instruments to the betterment of the nation.

”Let us always be reminded that we have a responsibility to our community no matter what area or field of specialization we are from,” he added.
