New Services Offered
Objectives:
- To enable the Bulacan State University (BulSU) library users to return easily and safely the books borrowed prior to the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.
- To facilitate the returning of borrowed books and materials without violating health protocols prescribed to prevent further transmission of COVID-19 infection.
Rationale:
NO MORE BOOK CHECK-INS AT THE FRONT DESK. This service is offered to let library patrons drop off their borrowed books and media resources in designated book drop boxes located at the main gate and 2nd gate of the university.
Process:
- Contact the respective College Librarian to schedule your OLIBOR.

Objectives:
- To provide a venue for systematic book purchase recommendations by BulSU library patrons.
- To facilitate receipt of recommendations from BulSU library clients through non-physical contact transactions in the effort to develop library collections.
Rationale:
This service is designed to provide access to resources tailored fit to the request of the library community. Students and faculty may send their recommended book/s for purchase via e-mail or library social media accounts.
Process:
- Go to BulSU OPAC or send an Email to your LODY

- Log in / register to your OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) account
- After registration/log-in, kindly look for the purchase suggestion tab and click.
- Provide the necessary fields.
- Upon completion, click the Submit your suggestion button.

VIA EMAIL
- Send email to BulSU University Library through library@bulsu.com or through LODY (Librarian on Duty) you would like to ask for assistance which is provided at the Facebook page of the university library.
- Indicate “Online Book Recommendation” as the subject of your email.
- Provide in the email the bibliographic information (Title, author, edition (if any); publisher, copyright year, subject etc.) of your book suggestion.

Objectives:
- To develop awareness among library patrons as regards to the Bulacan State University (BulSU) Library profile, its collections and its services in particular to the new normal.
- To help the BulSU Library patrons in identifying, locating and accessing print and electronic resources provided by the BulSU Library.
Rationale:
Bulacan State University Library offers virtual library instruction aimed at helping users become more adept at identifying, locating, and accessing print and electronic information resources provided in the library.
Process:

Class representative/Mayor must submit a request by filling-out an online request form: https://forms.gle/j8VK3ta53Hc3ADKT7.
The library will only accommodate request for a maximum of 60 participants per session. - Class Mayor / Representative will receive an email confirmation together with the scheduled library orientation and a link to the meeting room.
- Class Mayor / Representative will share the link to the class.
- Students must log-in and join the google meet room at least 10 minutes before the online library instruction.
- Students who joined and finished the session will answer the Evaluation Form through the link that will be posted after the session: https://forms.gle/L1TGCDgi4nnfkSRCA
- Upon completion of the Evaluation Form, the library will send an e- Certificate within 3-5 working days.
Objectives:
- To enable the Bulacan State University (BulSU) Library to conduct virtually various reference assistance and services to different library patrons of the university in the new normal during this time of pandemic
- To respond to and address effectively the online queries of BulSU Library clienteles through online means
Rationale:
This service provides virtual assistance to library users to help them in their information needs. This may include; answering Ready Reference Questions; providing Reader’s Advisory Services; and Bibliographic Verification.

Objectives:
- To provide the Bulacan State University (BulSU) administration, faculty, staff and students remote access to various Open Educational Resources (OERs).
- To provide guidance to library patrons of BulSU for them to have a remote access to e-journals, e-books, databases and etc. needed in their study and research.
Rationale:
Access from Off-campus is now easy! BulSU Library electronic resources are accessible remotely to the BulSU community through a variety of Open Educational resources including e-journals, databases, e-books, etc.
Process:
- Go To BulSU OPAC
- Under the Bulacan State University Library Link, select the G-Site.
- After clicking the Library G-Site, you will be directed to the available Open Access Educational Resources.

Objectives:
- To provide access to Open Educational Resources (OERs) available online, remotely accessible and ready for use by Bulacan State University (BulSU) Library clienteles.
- To facilitate continuous love for reading, research, and learning through the use of Open Educational Resources (OERs) that is made available through the BulSU library GSITE.
Rationale:
The site includes wide variety of Open Educational Resources ready for use. It is made available online and can be accessed remotely.
Objectives:
- To provide a venue for delivering public service and entertainment to the community through online instructions, trends, Edutainment (Educational Entertainment event), Do It Yourself (DIY)/Life hacks, random asking of questions and various library challenges.
- To make aware the user-community that BulSU Library is not only all about the physical structure of the reading center and its collections, but also about its lighter way of reaching out to the community.
Rationale:
One of the new program of the BulSU library that includes online instructions, trends, Edutainment (Educational Entertainment event), DIY (Do It Yourself)/Life hacks, random asking of questions and a sort of library challenges wherein BulSU Librarians will respond to the requested challenge/s by the community. It is designed to cater not only for the BulSU community but also outside its community or the general public.
