Office Memorandum: Salikha Creative Grants

Posted August 10, 2017 by Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Training

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), in partnership with the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts (NCCA), has opened the call for proposals for creative projects designed to mainstream cultural education and appreciation in higher education.

The Salikha ("saliksik" and "likha") creative grants are targeted towards HEIs with faculty or non-teaching personnel affected by the K to 12 Transition, who wish to engage in arts research or creative projects for publication, exhibition, production, or other forms of public use, particularly geared toward advancing Philippine arts and culture and higher education. HEIs may apply as a single institution representing an individual or team, or as the lead institution in a partnership or consortium of HEIs.

The total grant amounts per approved project vary from Php 500,000 to Php 10 million, depending on the type and scale of the project, as well as the capability of the institution to implement it. The deliverables and outputs produced must also be commensurate to the size of grant provided.

In connection to this, all colleges and campuses of Bulacan State University, especially CAL, CAFA and CSSP are encouraged to take this opportunity and submit your proposals to salikha@ncca.gov.ph. The deadline for applications is on August 31, 2017.

For more information and submission guidelines, please visit NCCA website: http://ncca.gov.ph/call-proposals-salikha-ched-ncca-grants-creative-projects-k-12-transition-program/. As per university process, please submit your research to the University Research Office before you submit your entry to Salikha creative grants.
