TEACHERS AND RESOURCES OF THE CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE at BULACAN STATE UNIVERSITY
The Confucius Institute aims to impart to the local community the culture and tradition of Chinese, thus, including the study of Mandarin. To better facilitate the objectives, the institute must include an effective and efficient Chinese teachers.
The Confucius Institute is working with schools and teachers of Chinese to develop and provide educational programs, professional development and resources for teaching Chinese. In particular, the Confucius Institute is cooperating the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) of the Philippines to support the teaching and learning of the Chinese language in schools. Related information regarding teaching Chinese, professional development and resources will be posted on the web site for further knowledge of those interested to teach Chinese inside the classroom.
Teaching Chinese inside the Classroom
Individuals aspiring to become a lecturer for Chinese language must undertake a comprehensive training from the Confucius Institute. At present, all teachers who handles Mandarin course, took up the comprehensive training for speaking, writing and understanding Chinese language as well as workshop for teaching Chinese inside the classroom. The activity was done through the help of the Northwest University, the partner school in China.
The Confucius Institute Library
The Confucius Institute Library consists of a collection of more than 3000 books and multimedia references.
The collection consists of a variety of textbooks, teaching materials and other resources about Chinese culture, history and language. The Confucius Institute is making these resources available to Chinese language teachers to borrow for limited periods.
1、From August 1 to 10, 1st Workshop for Confucius Institute Programs Managers was held in Beijing and Mr. Rhino from External Office was sent to attend the workshop.

2、On August 3, Mr. Henry Hui , President AIEI International Association visited our CI accompanied by Dr. Alex Lee, Chairman of Hongkong Lifelong Education Organization.

3、On August 17, 330 Mandarin Class students from BSU held their exhibit on the Works of Chinese Art and History in the Function Room.
8月17号，汉语班330名学生在大学多功能厅举办了中国艺术、文化、历史作品展。
4、On August 26, Dr. David Zhou , Managing Director of Asia School of Business Singapore visited our CI accompanied by Dr. Alex Lee, Chairman of Hongkong Lifelong Education Organization.
8月26日，新加坡亚洲管理学院周卫国院长在香港国力教育机构主席李以力博士陪同下，访问孔子学院。
5、On August 27, “The First Local Mandarin Teacher Lecture Contest” was held in Pavilion Hotel, Manila. 40 participants attended the event. Six contestants got the Prizes.
8月27号，“首届本土教师讲课比赛”在马尼拉花园酒店举行。40名教师参加，9人参加比赛，6人得奖。
6、On August 28, “ Seminar on the Preparation for teaching Plans” was held in Manila Pavilion Hotel. Ms. Yang Meimei, Director of Chinese Language Teaching, Philippine Chinese Education Research Center; Dr. Zhang Yarong, Ms. Yangxin gave all the participants wonderful lectures.
8月28号，“汉语课堂教学及撰写教案”培训班在马尼拉花园酒店召开。菲律宾华教中心教学部主任杨美美女士，张亚蓉博士，杨欣老师做了精彩的报告。
7、On August 31, a group of 10 Chinese students from Beijing came to Confucius Institute for a visit.
